Top gear choose Les Arc for their latest stunt

Top Gear which attracts a worldwide audience of around 500 million came to Paradiski in the Savoie region of the French Alps. They were attracted by the publicity of the Columbia Speed Flying event held in Les Arcs back in February. This latest challenge was filmed in April. The programme which will be aired on BBC 1 this summer is a welcome boost to Paradiski and Les Arcs. It's a double celebration at the moment as they will also be celebrating the reopening of its famous Vanoise Express cable car later this year ( 20th December 2008.)

The Vanoise Express with a 200 people capacity is the biggest cable car in the world. It had to be shut last season due to engineering problems. The Vanoise Express links the French resorts of Les Arcs and La Plagne - creating Paradiski, one of the biggest ski areas in the world.
