Pass Portes du Soleil MTB festival

Riders had the choice of three circuits; Classic 75km route, 45km Intermediate and 30km Discovery circuit.

A top tip to getting a good time is to get the first lift, otherwise as each gondola or chairlift can only take a maximum of 2 bikes you will end up queueing.

In order for everyone to make the most of the day, the lifts had extended opening hours from 8am - 6pm both days.

The Pass’Portes du Soleil is an annual MTB event held at the end of June and marks the opening of the full summer lift network in the area.

During the summer season, 24 lifts are accessible to bikers giving access to 650km of marked MTB trails, as well as 5 bike parks, dozens of dedicated downhill trails, trial routes and a biker X.

If you fancy taking part in it next year, you need to register in advance on the official Pass’Portes du Soleil website. Subscriptions go on-line early February and if you want to set off from Morzine or Les Gets, the two most popular departure points, you need to get in quick as these places fill up very fast.
