France  - Skiing on a budget

Flaine

The ski resort of Flaine is the highest resort in the Grand Massif ski area, with a great variety of intermediate slopes, childcare options and great restaurants. There are also options for paragliding, helicopter flights, ice diving and snowmobiles.

Brides-les-Bains

Brides-les-Bains is great little resort that offers access to Méribel area via a 25 minute gondola ride, or you can access The Three Valleys resorts. The resort of Brides-les-Bains has a lively nightlife.

Austria - Skiing on a budget

Schladming

In Austria, Schladming which is easily located in the Enns Valley an hour from Salzburg the ski resort is excellent for advanced skiers. It has some truly challenging red and black runs. The resort will host the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in 2013.

Italy - Skiing on a budget

Cervinia

Cervinia is a great option for those on a budget wanting access to the Matterhorn Ski Paradise. The Italian side of the Matterhorn is definitely kinder on the wallet than the Swiss side.
