We all know how important food is on a ski trip. For a lot of us, it's the most important factor in choosing a chalet or the resort to book your ski holiday.

Courchevel awarded 11 Michelin stars

For those ski foodies, Courchevel has got to be one of the hottest resorts out there.. The new 2010 Michelin Guide has awarded restaurants in Courchevel a total of 11 stars.

Les Airelles - 2 stars

Restaurant 1947 at Hotel Cheval Blanc - 2 stars

Chabichou - 2 stars

Bateau Ivre - 2 stars

Il Vino d'Enrico Bernardo - 1 star.

La Bouitte Hotel and Restaurant - 1 star

Courchevel's Chabichou (Michel Rochedy) and Bateau Ivre (Jean-Pierre Jacob) have long been established as two fine dining restaurants (Michel Rochedy's Chabochou noted as the more experimental) They now have 2 stars each, and over 20 years of fine dining behind them.

But now there are some new kids on the block in Courcheval with 6 additional stars and the promotion of 4 restaurants in the Michelin guide this year.

The Three Valleys as a whole has 17 stars across 10 restaurants.
