Miller wins that elusive gold

We started to think he was never going to do it.

Ivica Kostelic of Croatia won the Silver medal with a time of 2:45.25 and Silvan Zurbriggen of Switzerland earned Bronze.

"When I passed the line, I did my normal thing and stood for a second and I was like 'That was unbelievable, I can't ask for anything more,'" Miller said. "For my first Olympic gold, it was absolutely perfect."

Bode Miller's medal count for the Vanouver Olympics now stands at three and his overall Olympic medal count to five.  Miller has tied the record for the most Alpine skiing medals won by a man at a single Winter Olympics and is second on the overall Alpine skiing medal list.

In addition, Miller's Gold medal brings the U.S. Alpine Ski Team medal count to eight, an Olympic record.
