Ski lifts are a bit boring .. right?

Well they do an amazing job. Transporting hundreds or thousands of skiers and boarders an hour, up some amazing mountains with some amazing views.

Come to think of it - Ski lifts are awesome!

But some resorts are doing some extra special things to spice up ski lifts.

Clos du Vallon

A double chair-lift in the French resort of Risoul has set up speed dating during Singles Week (March 28) Singles get a  glass of "vin chaud" and then you get a speed date (well it's ten minutes) to spice up your ski life.

In Jackson Hole has some amazingly steep slopes which can be viewed from the cable-car to the top of Rendezvous Mountain. The voice from the announcement states "This terrain is for expert skiers and riders only. If you don't like what you see, feel free to ride the tram back down."

In Whistler, will this winter have a new lift linking Blackcomb and Whistler mountains.. with a glass bottom cable car. The views have got to be one of the best in the world.

In the Lappish resort ofYlläs one cabin has been converted into a sauna, allowing you to see some amazing sights both in and out of the cabin!!
