Glacier 3000, above Les Diablerets and Gstaad, Zermatt, Engelberg and Saas Fee are open.
Saas Fee reported a foot (30cm) of fresh snow this week on the glacier with even 10cm (four inches) of snow at resort 1,800m which is great news for Saas Fee as it's hosting the World Cup snowboarding competition this weekend. The Dome ski lift at Glacier 3000 is open and parts of the Snow Park are available to skiers and snowboarders with several Lines (small, medium, large) with tables and rails, as well as the Big Mama waiting for you.
Tignes remains the only ski area open daily, as it has been since September. Base levels of around 150 - 160cm have already been reached.
Dachstein, Kaprun, Kaunertal, Pitztal, Solden, Stubai and Tux glaciers are all open and all currently receiving heavy snowfalls. Making Austria the country with the widest variety of resorts open.
Passo Stelvio and Val Senales are open.
Because of its northerly latitude Scandinavia traditionally tends to open earlier than other European resorts.
The Folgefonn Glacier that has been open all summer and has reported heavy snow over the past weeks, Kvitfjell, Skeikampen and Gaustablikk are already open with Geilo and Ål, Trysil and Gålå opening this weekend and the country’s best known resort, Hemsedal opening on November 14th.
