David Guetta recently picked up World’s Top House DJ at DJ Mag's Top 100 Awards in October.

This massive outside Tignes event will be a great start to the year. With over 15,000 clubbers this has got to be one of the best (if not the best) free events in a ski resort.

Tignes Airwaves Season 5 January 5th – 9th

A freestyle event with over150,000 Euros it's a great event where you can see the best riders in the world - freestyle, freeride and skiercross.

Nissan Freeride -  2009 Freewide World Tour Tignes March 7th-14th

40 of the best male and female freeriders in the world (skiers and snowboarders) meet for the Freeride World Tour competition.This year the rounds are Russia in January, February it's the turn of Squaw Valley in America and then in March, the riders come to Tignes.

With US300,000 up for grabs.

The Tignes leg of the competition is going to be held on The Grande Balme - 500 metres and a 45 degree slope. The local hero is Guerlain Chicherit who has been a four time freeride skiing world champion
