Winter X Games get off to a windy start
Yesterday's winter X games - qualification runs started off with some massive winds - eventually they calmed down and women’s Snowboard SuperPipe Elimination under the floodlights started to hot up.
Torah Bright (2010 Olympic gold medalist) scored way more than the other contestants without even breaking into a sweat. Ellery Hollingsworth impressed with huge back-to-back 7s, so did Sophie Rodriguez, who brought a whole school of kids to support her.
Together with Kjersti Oestgaard Buaas, Mercedes Nicoll, and Kaitlyn Farrington they make up the finals on Friday.
