Criterium de la Premiere Neige

29th November 2008

This year the event has even more significance as it will be used as a testing ground for the 2009 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships that will be held in Val d’Isère in February.

Criterium de la Premiere Neige

This year the World Cup is to be run this year on the Bellevarde “Face”. Face's is a renown run with great slopes with 90% of the slope visible from the finish / viewing area.

Traditionally the Critérium de la Première Neige is held on the slopes of La Daille, but this year it too will be held on "Face", so that officials can test some aspects of the event in readiness for the World Ski Championships, such as slope prep, media and visitor zones, traffic and parking.
