It's a big year for Whistler this year, there will be improvements made ahead of the 2010 Olympics and all that will mean for the resort.

One of the improvements is the new Peak to Peak ski lift. We've talked about this before, but this lift is going to be totally amazing. It's a cabin / gondola crossing from the top of Whistler mountain to Blackcomb mountain.

The crossing is an amazing feat of engineering! It's going to be the highest crossing of its kind as well as the longest crossing between two supports. One of the cabins is going to have a glass bottom, which is going to be properly amazing.. if heights aren't your thing, you can always use one of the other ones.

All in all, Whistler's got to be high on anyones wish list for a ski or snowboarding holiday. I know it's on ours!!
