Freeride Experience, run by Volker Hölzl, who was born and lives in Zell am See has been roaming the mountains and the deep powder of the region for many years.The experiences are long ski weekends for experienced and expert skiers. Available dates currently on offer are 8th - 11th, 15th to 18th and 22nd to 25th January 2009.The ski weekend course / experience starts with an introductory evening, where you get to know your fellow guests as well as the guides. You'll together run through the next days planned route and a brief of backcountry guidelines.You'll be equipped with the latest Blizzard Titan Argos IQ and Titan Cronus IQ freeride equipment, freeride poles, avalanche transceivers and shovels.At 8.30 on the Friday morning you'll head out - the exact route will be chosen on the day depending on the weather and ability of the group. You'll be out to around 4pm with a lunch break at an Alpine hut.You can expect to make up to 200 runs between 700 to 3,200 metres of altitude during the weekend.www.freeride-experience.at
