Well now Zermatt resort is offering an unique experience available on Tuesday to Thursdays free of charge - giving holiday makers the chance to bash the pistes in a piste basher - You'll be on the moonlit pistes, alone apart from your driver in the mountain wilderness - serving all the hundreds of skiers and boarders for the morning. Note that you'll have to signup for an eight hour shift from 4pm to midnight.

On Tuesdays the experience is offered in the Matterhorn area, on Wednesdays at Rothorn and on Thursdays at Gornegrat. You need to register by at least 4pm the day before by calling 027 966 01 01 or by emailing matterhornparadise@zermatt.ch

You'll be talked through the requirements but bring along a packed lunch and warm clothing, although the tractor cabin is heated.
